Everybody eats something for dinner. Maybe it's ordered in, maybe it's defrosted, maybe it's reheated. I'm interested in those nights where dinner is prepared from scratch. In your kitchen.
Great to hear you're back at it in the "good 'ol U.S. of A. We've missed hearing from you. I love your prose in your newsletter, and I copied quite a few (not all) of your recipes. I am looking forward to trying some of them.
We are going to miss you for Thanksgiving this year, but I know you'll be doting over that new baby. It'll be good for your family to be all together again, too. I know it will please your mom and dad.
I hope you don't mind that my comments are more personal than professional. It sounds like you're rising to a very high star in the city of New York. We're so very proud of your accomplishments.
Chick is doing very well after his heart attack on August 11th. He had 9 blockages, but they put stents in and he seems like new again. Trans-fats and cholesterol have to be watched, and Dr. says "No cheese or peanut butter". These things are hard to work around, but "we will".
Keep in touch. If you can find your way up here sometime this winter, I'll give you some of the chili sauce I just made - excellent on roast pork or beef, swirled into baked beans, and I love it on macaroni & cheese (oops, guess we won't be doing that anymore), but it is good on it just the same.
